Halving

In BTC PixelWar, the thrill of competition is heightened by a unique game mechanism known as "halving." It's a strategic element that ensures scarcity and keeps players engaged.

How Halving Works

  • Starting Point: The game kicks off with a maximum of 50,000 pixels available for submission at a time.

  • Accumulation: As players add pixels to the canvas, the total accumulated pixels grow, moving closer to significant milestones.

  • First Halving: When the accumulated pixels reach 50% of the total supply, the first halving occurs. This cuts the available pixel count for submission at a time by half. It means a user can only submit 25,000 pixels at a time.

  • Subsequent Halvings: The second halving happens when the accumulated pixels reach 75% of the total (50% of the remaining pixels). This pattern continues, with each halving reducing the available pixels for submission at a time by half.

  • Five Halving Cycles: The halving process repeats five times in total, each time escalating the competition and excitement.
